Fazenda do Engenho is a respected farm in Brazil’s Carmo de Minas region, with coffee roots dating back to the 1930s and three generations of family stewardship. Now led by José Ronaldo, a heart surgeon who balances life between the operating room and the farm, the estate has been under his management since 1984. Since 2002, José Ronaldo has invested heavily in quality improvements, refining post-harvest processing and modernising infrastructure to elevate cup quality. Through Project Origin’s partnership with Carmo Coffee, this washed Lot 10 showcases his focus on clarity-driven processing and the sweetness and complexity of Mantiqueira terroir.
