Plan del Hoyo is led by Francisco de Sola, who entered coffee production in 2015 after a long career outside agriculture, continuing the legacy of family land first purchased in 1957. Following decades of transformation, from cattle and timber to specialty coffee, the farm has gained international recognition, earning 8th place in the 2023 El Salvador Cup of Excellence with a natural Kenya SL28 lot. This Natural Geisha lot is hand-picked and carefully dried on raised African beds for 21 days, developing sweetness, structure, and fruit intensity. The result is an expressive cup layered with bergamot, orange, chocolate and red currant notes.
