Spikes Estate is a family-run coffee farm in Kenya's renowned Kiambu region, owned by Manasseh Kiboch and his wife, who have been steadily expanding the estate since 2012. Situated between 1,700–1,800 masl on rich red volcanic soils, the farm's cool climate and reliable rainfall provide ideal conditions for producing vibrant, high-quality coffees. Cherries are selectively hand-picked, dry fermented for 24 hours, soaked in clean water, and slowly dried on raised beds for up to 18 days, creating a clean and expressive cup. Alongside a focus on quality, Spikes Estate embraces sustainable farming through biodiversity conservation, cattle farming, and a recently installed biogas system that repurposes coffee pulp and manure into renewable energy.
